How to play
Setup
- • 3 or more players, each with a name. Turn order is fixed and rotates.
- • Pick a difficulty deck (easy, medium, hard or mixed), an optional turn timer and your target score.
On your turn
- • Draw a word card. It shows a structure clue such as “starts with E” or “has a double S”.
- • Roll the die. It lands on purple, pink or yellow.
- • Purple asks a meaning question, pink asks a usage question with a blank, yellow asks a sound or spelling question.
- • Type your guess. Spelling is forgiving — casing and punctuation are ignored.
Hints
- • Each player gets 3 hints for the entire game (adjustable in Settings).
- • Each hint reveals one more clue: word length, then the first letter, then the first three letters.
- • At 0 hints remaining, that player plays unaided for the rest of the game.
Scoring
- • Correct guess = 3 points, minus 1 for each hint used that turn, with a minimum of 1 point.
- • Incorrect guess = 0 points and the turn passes.
- • The instant any player reaches the target score (21 by default), the game ends and they win.
